I have a BSc Honours degree in psychology, and a Advanced Diploma qualification in counselling. I have used these skills in many different work settings, and in 2013 I completed the Foundation in Psychotherapy (Transactional Analysis), in order to work at a deeper level and with a broader range of clients and needs. I continued on to the Masters Level 7 Advanced Diploma in Psychotherapy (Transactional Analysis) which I completed in June 2017.
I also studied a diploma in Relational Mindfulness at Karuna institute in 2015, in order to expand my approaches that I bring to my client work.
My experience includes over 20 years working in one-to-one support, mainly in homelessness and Domestic Abuse .
I have also worked with looked-after children, Young Offenders, and in Family Support.
I currently work part-time as a Counsellor for a national children's charity, and facilitate group work with survivors of Domestic Abuse, as well as my own private practice in Exeter.
I offer Counselling and Psychotherapy to adults and young people aged 14 and over, for issues including depression, anxiety, relationship problems, abuse, self harm and eating disorders.
I am a member of BACP and abide by their ethical code, and I am also a member of the United Kingdom Association of Transactional Analysis.
